Pieter is one of the three Directors and the Company Secretary of The Veteran Company. Pieter graduated from University of Queensland with a pass degree in economics in 1982, a pass degree in commerce in 1986 and honours in commerce in 1988. He subsequently became a CPA, and later F.Fin and is currently a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
From 1996 to 2021, Pieter worked in the finance sector, firstly as an analyst with 3 different fund managers and then as an analyst covering resources and energy and finally in corporate advisory.
Since 2021, Pieter has been an Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of an Australian start-up that has developed, and is in the process of patenting, the Intellectual Property for a new zero emission power generation technology system. The Veteran Company is currently working with this team on a number of projects to commercialise its IP.
